Old Post Card Day...



Schenectady Post Office, erected in 1912 has not changed since 1933...

As I make my move (finally) from Schenectady to Cherry Valley I take note of some of the grand architecture that still exists here

I love old post cards - I have one framed and hanging in my kitchen that is really a political notice for a WWI veteran running for Councilor at Large in 1936.

That is a beautiful old postcard. I think it is touching that you paid tribute to some of the grand architecture still there before you moved.

Yes It is a grand old town, and much of it is beautiful.
However in recent years this old town has been reminding me that there is an ugly side as well. Unfortunately that includes many of the people in the neighborhood where I live.
The drugs, domestic disputes and angry loud music have convinced me that I will be much happier on the farm
